Jaroslav Tůma

Jaroslav Tůma (born in 1956), an organist, a harpsichord, clavichord and fortepiano player, an improviser and a composer has belonged among the European top for many years already. He has won several international competition awards. During 1990-1993 he performed the complete J. S. Bach works.

His repertoire includes styles of all periods including temporary music, which he performs on historical keyboard instruments.
On the stages all around the world Jaroslav Tůma has co-operated with interpretation legends.

Tůma’s discography contains over fifty titles most of them are solos. He records for both home and foreign radio and TV companies. He is the author and the main protagonist of a historic organ television series. For Czech Radio he regularly prepares programs about organ and other classical music.

He is a popular guest performer at the Prague Spring International Music Festival, the Musikfestspiele in Dresden, the Flanders Festival and in other prestigious concert venues all over Europe, United States and Japan.
